Magnetic materials for energy-related, spintronic, and fundamental research applications are studied with a number of different techniques at many beamlines at the ALS. These pages are dedicated to polarization dependent soft x ray absorption studies performed at beamlines 4.0.2 and 6.3.1 to improve the understanding of magnetic thin films, nanoparticles, molecules, and more.
