Photon-in and Photon-out X-ray Spectroscopy in Material Sciences,
Environmental Energy and Chemical Analysis

Today the photon-in and photon-out soft-x-ray spectroscopy is frequently applied in research fields ranging from atomic and molecular physics to materials sciences. The workshop brought together international experts with a wide range of interests such as complex materials, environmental and interfacial science, and atomic and molecular phenomena, but with a common interest in photon-in/photon-out soft-x-ray spectroscopic experiments. The speakers will address the importance of both experimental and theoretical the development in resonant elastic and inelastic scattering and the potential applications in in-situ chemical and biological applications.
